The new Best in Class Product: SDLT600
As the new flagship of the SuperDLT line Tandberg introduces the SDLT600. With it´s transfer rate of more than 250* GByte per hour and a capacity of 600* GByte per cartridge this drives sets new records for the whole tape drive market. There are upgrade paths to the SDLT600 available from most DLT products.

FIELD-PROVEN RELIABILITY
The SDLT 600 is based on the technology platform that more companies trust to protect their business critical information assets than any other: DLTtape.

It is of course able to read the SDLT tapeTM I cartridges recorded with a SDLT220 or SDLT320 and is moreover the first Superdrive being able to read the DLTtape VS1 written by the DLT VS160 drive. A change from the VS product to the SDLT600 is therefore possible without large investments.

The SDLT600 with its transfer rate of 72 MByte of compressed data per second is a real performance marvel, it allows you to backup more than 250 GByte of compressed data in just one hour. To store the now available huge capacities there is also a new cartridge introduced: The Tandberg SDLTtapeTM II media. The combination of drive and cartridge out of one hand will provide extra reliability, quality and compatibility.

The free software tool DLTSage is available for all SuperDLT drives. With this application you will have the total control of your media and drives as well as of our backup quality and reliability. Use DLTSage for error prevention, diagnostics and inventory.
